1. Operating principle of the 4″ Spin Klin™ Galaxy disc filter

The 4″ Spin Klin™ Galaxy automatic backwash disc filter utilizes multiple grooved polymer discs stacked together to form a deep filtration medium. Water flows from the outside in, effectively trapping suspended solids within the disc stack.

During the backwash cycle, the discs are released and separated by water or air pressure combined with water, generating a powerful reverse flow that thoroughly cleans the filtration surface. Galaxy models allow for both internal and external backwash configurations depending on system design.
