On August 12, 2024, technical experts from LG Water Solution visited and worked at the office of ATS Water Technology.

During the working session, Mr. Younghoon Ko – Technical Director of LG Water Solution – provided a detailed presentation on MaxRO R RO membranes, an advanced product line featuring innovative 36 mil feed spacer technology. This represents a highly effective solution for demanding industries that require exceptional membrane durability and high salt rejection, including semiconductor manufacturing, food & beverage, photovoltaics (solar), and electronics.

Key technical highlights of LG MaxRO R RO membranes shared during the training session include:

  • Thin Film Nanocomposite (TFN) technology: Significantly enhances membrane flux performance while minimizing energy consumption.
  • Superior salt rejection: Reaches up to 99.8% nominal salt rejection, delivering high-purity permeate water.
  • 36 mil feed spacer with ultra-low differential pressure (ΔP): Improves hydraulic flow dynamics and enhances overall water supply treatment efficiency.
  • Outstanding scaling resistance: Reduces fouling propensity, leading to lower CIP (Clean-In-Place) frequency, reduced maintenance, and extended membrane service life.
  • Lower operating costs (OPEX): Optimizes process efficiency across diverse feedwater sources, including brackish water and industrial wastewater reuse applications.
