Chairman Lai Quang Binh alongside the engineering team from ATS Water Technology Co., Ltd. (ATS Water Technology) collaborated with technical specialists from Pentair (USA) to conduct a field mission at a seawater-to-ultrapure water treatment plant in Lam Dong Province. The joint mission focused on sharing field-proven operational expertise, providing direct engineering guidance, and conducting hands-on operator training to ensure reliable system operation and optimal process efficiency.

The treatment process train currently deployed at the facility includes:

  • Chemical pretreatment: Seawater is dosed with pH adjustment chemicals, dechlorination agents, and antiscalant formulations to stabilize feedwater parameters and mitigate membrane fouling and scaling risks.
  • Amiad disc filtration (Israel): Removes algae, macro-organics, sand, and coarse suspended solids (TSS), protecting downstream filtration hardware.
  • Multi-media filtration (MMF): Removes colloidal particulate matter, organic impurities, and heavy metals.
  • Pentair X-Flow ultrafiltration (UF) membranes, Xiga configuration (USA): Effectively eliminates total suspended solids (TSS), colloids, bacteria, and viral pathogens.
  • Seawater reverse osmosis system (SWRO): Delivers up to 99.89% salt rejection, substantially reducing high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in raw seawater to produce purified water.
  • Brackish water reverse osmosis system (BWRO): Permeate water from the SWRO pass (substantially desalinated) is routed through a secondary BWRO pass for polishing water quality and removing residual dissolved ions.
  • Mixed bed demineralization system: Utilizes two premium ion exchange resin grades from Lanxess (Germany): Lewatit® MonoPlus S 108 H (strongly acidic cation resin) and Lewatit® MonoPlus M 800 (strongly basic anion resin).

The high-pressure piping skid incorporates Piedmont flexible couplings, ensuring high-pressure rating integrity, superior corrosion resistance, and long-term operating stability in aggressive seawater environments. Product water from the system is delivered directly into manufacturing processes, satisfying stringent high-purity water specifications for industrial applications.
