On April 7, 2021, the engineering representatives of ATS Water Technology Co., Ltd. participated in the seminar titled “Introduction and Technical Sharing on Treatment Solutions for Seawater, Brackish Water, Saline Water, and Wastewater Reuse,” held from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Minh Toan Galaxy Hotel, Da Nang.

The seminar was organized to introduce technologies for treating various source waters, including seawater, saline water, and brackish water, as well as wastewater reuse solutions. The event aimed to address the increasing demand for water supply for domestic and industrial applications amid the growing challenges of climate change and saltwater intrusion in Central Vietnam.

During the seminar, ATS Water Technology’s engineering team presented a comprehensive water treatment process flow diagram, illustrating the overall configuration of a complete water treatment system from pretreatment and primary treatment to final polishing. The process flow also demonstrated equipment layout, process flow direction, and chemical dosing points at each treatment stage, providing participants with a clear understanding of the system design and operating principles.

The technical presentation highlighted the function of each treatment stage, including:

Pretreatment: Removal of suspended solids through filtration, coagulation-flocculation, and antiscalant dosing when required.
Primary membrane treatment: Application of Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane systems to remove microorganisms, dissolved contaminants, and trace impurities.
Final treatment: Disinfection and final water quality adjustment before the treated water is supplied for use or wastewater reuse.

The presentation by ATS Water Technology attracted significant interest and technical discussions from participating organizations, particularly regarding the selection of appropriate treatment technologies for the unique water conditions in Central Vietnam, where seasonal saltwater intrusion and freshwater shortages are common challenges.

Through this seminar, ATS Water Technology shared its practical experience in designing and integrating membrane-based water treatment systems while strengthening collaboration with organizations operating in the environmental and water supply sectors throughout Central Vietnam.
