In March 2025, executive leadership and the engineering team from ATS Water Technology Co., Ltd. conducted a technical mission to the Pentair X-Flow headquarters in the Netherlands to participate in the workshop “Technical training on UF and MBR filtration membranes applied in water supply treatment.”

The intensive technical training program took place from March 18 to 21, 2025, focusing on key industrial engineering topics:

  • Advanced membrane technology: Technology breakdown and industrial applications of Ultrafiltration (UF) and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) systems in water supply treatment and wastewater reclamation.
  • Tailored UF & MBR process solutions:
    • Aquaflex & X-line: Specialized product lines for pressurized and submerged UF system configurations.
    • Xiga: Engineered for large-scale treatment plants, particularly seawater desalination pretreatment.
    • Comparative engineering selection: Evaluating and selecting optimal membrane process configurations based on site-specific feedwater parameters and operating conditions.
  • System design & operational optimization: Core design criteria for UF/MBR process trains, membrane integrity testing (MIT), flux rate optimization, and CIP/CEB chemical wash protocols.
  • On-site plant practicum: Guided technical tour of Pentair X-Flow manufacturing facilities and live technical demonstrations of advanced filtration solutions.
  • Field application & maintenance: Practical assembly of X-line rack modules, membrane module maintenance, mechanical durability evaluation, and operational troubleshooting.
